DRU Carries Out Quick-Response Research in the Emergency Shelter Lübtheen during Forest Fire

On July 3, 2019, the DRU carried out a quick-response research in the emergency shelter Lübtheen, district Ludwigslust Parchim, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The forest fire, which had been burning for days on heavily ammunition-polluted soil, led to the evacuation of 650 people from four villages. In the emergency shelter in Lübtheen, interviews were conducted with relief personnel (e.g. fire brigades, German Red Cross, Malteser Hilfsdienst, Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund) in order to find out whether experiences from the refugee situation 2015/16 had been incorporated into the construction and operation of the emergency shelter.
